Blessings from Southwestern Ohio!
This
is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it! (Psalm
118:24)
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is
Dennise Nichole Dittman, a Classical/Crossover Country Christian artist from Hamilton,
Ohio. Currently, having 2 songs on the charts with “There He Is” and “Let it
Fall.” which has been such a blessing! Speaking of blessings... My brand new
CD, entitled “Blessings” is currently available, with 10 original songs that
are carefully handpicked (and pitched) to me by my friends and colleagues; in
the Country Christian Gospel world. Music is an integral part of my life.
Fulfilling the need to spread the gospel to the world. For the glory of the
Lord. To use my voice as an instrument for my personal Savior, Jesus Christ.
"My prayer is that I can bless you through songs of faith and hope, touch
your heart, and bring you closer to Jesus" and to sing for “His Glory.”
Christmas
has always been my favorite time of year. You can feel a certain magic in the
air and people seem a little nicer during the holiday season. The house
smelling of cinnamon and balsam pine are a sign that Christmas isn’t so far
away. All of this while remembering the true meaning of Christmas. It’s a shame
that so called magic can’t linger all year long. It definitely should. I was
lucky, my parents had lots of little traditions that I’ll always hold near and
dear to my heart. My father would come home from work and turn up the Christmas
music and light candles to give it a festive atmosphere, while mama prepared a
meal. We’d talk and plan about gifts that we would get for grandma and just
enjoy the evening together. Watch Christmas movies and make cookies. Creating
memories that would last a lifetime.
This
year is quite different. While always loving this time of year. I find myself
melancholy. The one thing that I want most for Christmas is my daddy. I long to
hear his laugh and see his face. Trying to remember every Christmas that we
spent together and cherish all of those memories. Hoping that I don’t forget
any of the little things about him that made him so special. While my heart is
breaking, I am trying to tell myself that he wouldn’t want me to be sad. He
would want me to be strong like him, and to do something good for someone else.
To carry out his legacy and be someone that makes people happy. While missing
him so. I am planning on doing lots of good things for others this year. This
Christmas I will surround myself with my mama and everyone that I love. I’ll hold
them close to my heart and celebrate his memory and life this Christmas and
always.
I
have a heart for ministry and want to use myself and my music for the good of
others. This season My friends and I did a collaborative concert a “Give Back
Concert Series” I am so excited that the Thanksgiving concert was so
successful, as we had so many food donations for the homeless shelter, Friday
December 18 at Musicland in Lexingon, Kentucky, we will have a concert/toy
drive; donating the toys to the Children’s Cancer Unit at UK Children’s
Hospital.
I
pray that you might choose a charity or a good cause and donate your time, etc
. . .
This
Christmas season I will be donating hygiene kits and other needed items to
The
Respite Care of Cincinnati.
Colossians 3:17 - And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name
of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
